Neve Tzedek

Our first court is located in the city of Tel Aviv-Yafo near Neve Tzedek. It was established in cooperation with the Tel Aviv Municipality, Nirlat paint company, and “Shanti House” – a warm home for unprivileged youth, which is located near the court. The youth took an active part in the painting and in the process of setting up the field .

“Deconstructed court” – design by adi nachum.

Based on the geometric shapes from the original layout of the classic court and gives tribute to the original design by changing the arrangement and exploring the colors between each shapes combination.

Park HaYarkon

This court marks the second piece of the Splash Project, initiated by Liam Shrem with the goal of connecting community, sports, and art through the creation of designed courts open to the public. Originally designed by Jonathan Katav in 2022, this court is a continuation of Liam’s vision.

“One Earth” – design by Jonathan Katav.

Tragically, Liam was killed by Hamas terrorists in the Nova Party Massacre on October 7, 2023. In the aftermath, the future of the Splash Project was uncertain. However, Liam’s mother, Simona Shrem, took over the project, assembling a team to bring this court to life.

Situated on the edge of the Yarkon River in Tel Aviv, an area known for its increasingly polluted water and the site of the 1997 Maccabiah disaster where three athletes died due to infections from the river water, this court carries a powerful message. The design, titled “One Earth,” is meant to provoke thoughts on unity and sustainability, resonating with the location and the core intention of the Splash Project: connecting communities through sport and art.

Since Liam’s death on October 7th, “One Earth” has taken on an additional meaning, symbolizing solidarity, peace, and an appreciation for the colorful moments in life.

Nofei Yam

Our 3rd court, the “Aim to the Stars” Court, is strategically positioned at Nofei Yam School, symbolizing the boundless aspirations of its young athletes. This court is a product of collaboration between the Splash Project and the local community school, reflecting a shared commitment to fostering athletic and artistic expression among students. Designed by Pesh Studio, the court integrates the theme of reaching for one’s dreams, represented through a celestial array of patterns and colors that inspire both play and imagination.

“Aim to the Stars” – designed by Pesh Studio.

This court distills the essence of aspiration in its design, using the vastness of the cosmos as a metaphor for the limitless potential of its users. Each element of the court, from its dynamic color palette to its sweeping curves, encourages everyone who steps onto it to set their sights high and dream big.

Reichman University

Our 4th Court, “Butterfly Eyes” court at Reichman University in Herzliya is a special place that brings to life a dream of Liam, a former student at the university. The court was designed by artist “Pilpeled” and built with help from the university. It’s not just a place to play basketball—it’s also a was Liam vision and dream.

”Butterfly Eyes” – designed by Pilpeled.

The court uses the image of a butterfly, which is a symbol for the soul, to create a unique and inspiring place. The eyes in the design seem to watch over the players and remind everyone of Liam’s spirit and dreams. This court is a space where students can play and remember the power of chasing dreams just like Liam did.

Yachdav School

Our 5th Court, “Yachdav Colors”, at Yachdav School in Tel Aviv

The fifth court of the Splash Project is one of the most meaningful ones yet—because it wasn’t just painted for the community, but with it.
Designed and led by Pesh Studio, the court was created together with the school’s students, who spent days painting, learning, and taking part in something bigger than themselves.

”Colors” – designed by Pesh Studio.

Liam believed that art becomes powerful when it’s shared, that sports bring people together, and that community grows strongest when everyone has a hand in building it. Here, that vision is visible in every brushstroke.

This is what the Splash Project is about:

not just beautiful courts, but spaces that belong to the people who use them, spaces that strengthen community, creativity, and connection.

Oklahoma Court, USA

The sixth court of the Splash Project marks a historic moment—the first-ever Splash court in the United States, fulfilling one of Liam Shrem’s biggest dreams: bringing people together around the world through the power of basketball and art.

Located in Memorial Park in central Oklahoma City, this vibrant court was designed by local artist Matt Goad and brought to life by the Oklahoma community, who joined the painting process side by side. The effort was led by Dr. Anat Lechner, who heads Splash USA and has been instrumental in carrying Liam’s vision across continents.

”Eyes on the ball” – designed by Matt Goad.

The court, titled “Eyes on the Ball,” bursts with bold shapes, joyful colors, and characters that watch over the game—reminding everyone on the court to stay focused, stay present, and stay connected.

But beyond the design, this court represents something deeper:
a bridge between communities thousands of miles apart, united through play, creativity, and the belief that public spaces can inspire hope and togetherness.

From Tel Aviv to Oklahoma City, and from one community to another, the Splash Project continues to expand Liam’s legacy—courts that don’t just host games, but spark connection, imagination, and unity.
